2 Lasagna Recipes to Try This Weekend

Italian cuisine is one of the most popular in the world. People adore it simply because it is delicious. If you are also a big fan of this cuisine, you would love to try today’s lasagna recipes. One of them is more traditional-like, while the other one is more creative, but still extremely delicious. Check them out!

Recipe #1 Ground beef lasagna

This is the first recipe which is not that traditional-like. For it you will need:

Ingredients:

1 pound of ground beef
8 ounces of mozzarella
1 package of lasagna
1 ½ cups of marinara sauce
1 tablespoon of chopped garlic
½ cup of chopped onion
flour
2 eggs
breading powder
salt to taste
pepper to taste

Directions:

Step 1
First, you will need a pan. Heat some cooking oil in it and then add the chopped garlic and the ½ cup of chopped onion. Stir them well for a couple of minutes. Then add the ground beef. You need to stir it again so that it could mix with the onion and garlic and to cook it evenly.

Cook it for about 5 minutes, or up until you notice that the ground beef is turning brownish. Then remove the pan from the hot plate and drain the mixture from the excessive oil and water it has.

Step 2
Put the pan back on the hot plate and add the marinara sauce to the ground beef. Stir the ingredients well. Then add salt and pepper to taste. A pinch of each one would be enough for now. You could taste the mixture and if it is not salty enough, you could add a little more. Stir all the ingredients well again and then remove the pan from the hot plate.

Step 3
Once you have removed the pan from the hot plate, add the mozzarella and stir the mixture once again. Since the ground beef would be quite hot, the mozzarella would melt making the dish looking already quite delicious. When this is ready leave the mixture aside.

Step 4
Boil a pot of salted water and cook the lasagna in it for about 8 to 10 minutes. Once the time has passed, remove the lasagna from the water. Cut each lasagna piece in two longitudinally.

Then put a spoonful of the ground beef mixture in one of the ends of the lasagna leaf and roll it. Do the same with the rest of the lasagna up until you have used all the mixture.

Step 5
Now put all the lasagna rolls in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Then roll each one first in some flour, then in the scrambled raw egg mixture and finally in the breading powder.

After that you need to put them back in the freezer, but this time for 12-15 minutes. When the time is up, all that is left for you to do is to deep-fry the lasagna rolls. You will notice they are ready when they turn brownish.

You could serve them with some marinara sauce.

Recipe #2 Cheese Lasagna

Here is a lasagna recipe that is perfect for vegetarians. There is no meat, just 3 types of cheese. It is very easy to prepare, but you have to know that it would take you more than 2 hours to do it.

Ingredients:

1 package of lasagna
marinara sauce
1 package of ricotta cheese
1 cup of grated mozzarella
1 bell pepper
spinach
½ cup of chopped onion
3 tablespoons of parmesan
3-4 pinches of fresh basil

Directions:

First, you need to get a deep cooking pot. Apply 4 tablespoons of the marinara sauce on the bottom of the pot and spread it evenly.
Then line the whole bottom of the pot with lasagna leaves so that they cover the whole bottom of the pot.

Then add 4 tablespoons of ricotta cheese on top of the lasagna leaves and spread it evenly again. Then sprinkle ½ cup of mozzarella on top of the ricotta.

Add spinach leaves to cover the bottom ingredients completely and after that add 1/3 of the chopped bell pepper and 2 tablespoons of the chopped onion on top of the spinach. And the first row is ready.

All that is left for you to do is to repeat the same steps once (or until you are out of space to line them in, or until you are out of products).

Finally, finish by adding some marinara sauce on top and a couple of handful of parmesan and mozzarella. Sprinkle the fresh basil on top.

Put the lid of the pot on and cook the lasagna for 2 hours on high heat. And this is it.
