#1 Honey

Honey is a great remedy when it comes to sore throats but if your lips are very dry you could cure them with some honey. You always need to make sure the honey you use is a pure one and it is organic. There are a lot of fake products that imitate honey and they surely would not have the same effect as the real product.

What you need to do is simply to apply raw honey on your lips several times a day. Whenever you notice that there is no more honey left on your lips, reapply it. The reason why it works best in such cases is because honey attracts and retains moisture on your lips. And this means that applying honey regularly on your lips will not only cure dry lips, but will work as a prevention as well.

#2 Coconut oil

Another important product which you always should have in your kitchen is coconut oil. There are a lot of girls who use it to make hair masks, or to exfoliate their bodies with because it has great benefits on one’s skin and hair. It is simply because it is a natural moisturizer. And this also means that will help you moisturize your dry lips.

The only thing you need to do is rub some amount of coconut oil on your lips several times a day and on the next day you will notice great difference with your lips. You also need to make sure you apply some coconut oil on your lips before you go to bed. This way you will let it work overnight and have a sustainable effect on the next day.

#3 Rose petals

Surprisingly enough, roses do not only smell nicely and are a great gift to women, but their petals can actually cure dry lips. If you do not like the sticky texture of remedies like honey and coconut oil, then you could try this non-sticky and nice-smelling remedy.

Here is what you need to do. Get some rose petals and wash them in lukewarm water. Then drain the water out of them and soak them in milk for a couple of minutes. Then simply start mixing them with the milk until you have a thick paste. This means that the amount of milk you are going to need will be more or less equal to the rose petals.

If the petals are too big, you may have to cut them into smaller pieces so they do not stick out in the paste. And once the paste is ready, apply some of it on your lips before going to bed. Let it stay there overnight and the next morning wash the remaining paste from your lips. On the next morning you will be already able to tell the difference.

#4 Cucumber slices

You know that cucumber slices have been used for years to treat dark circles under one’s eyes. This remedy is so popular because cucumber consists of water primarily and when you apply some pieces of it on your skin, this will help keep it well-hydrated. The same goes for your lips.
