There is probably not a single person who has not suffered from headaches. We can even say that nowadays this is a common phenomenon with people’s busy lives and all their problems. Sometimes even the need of water could be the reason for one’s headaches.

If you also suffer from headaches every now and then, then you may find the reasons for them and, thus, the ways to get rid of them. And today we have prepared for you a list of the different types of headaches. So, check them out!

#1 Tension headache

The first type of headache in our list is called Tension Headache. When a person has such kind of headache they feel pressure on their head as if they were wearing a helmet which is very tight around their head, especially on their temples and front, central part of their forehead.

They also feel some dull pain on their head. And, unfortunately, this is not all. They could feel tension on their eyes and the front high part of their forehead. Sometimes they could feel spasm even on their neck and shoulders because of the headache.

The reasons for this kind of headache could be several ones, like fatigue, insomnia, or simply not getting enough sleep, anxiety, and sometimes even bad posture and hunger.

Thus, if you want to get rid of your headache, you need to get more sleep. You also need to spend more time outdoors and breathe some fresh air. If the headache is not cured, then consult a doctor.

#2 Sinus headache

The next type of headache is the Sinus one. This is when the parts of your head: brow area, cheeks, and central part of the forehead, hurt you the most. If you have such kind of headache, then you probably feel heaviness and pressure on your nose and sometimes even pain. And the last symptom is that you feel very tired often.

As you can probably guess from the name, the headache is in result of sinusitis and gets stronger when the person has a cold. Some people suffer from such headache due to some seasonal allergies. If you have such a headache, then you need to consult a doctor. Do not try any self-curing techniques. It is for your own good.

#3 Migraines

This is the type of headache that is the most known one around people. And we could say that it is very severe. Migraines have 4 stages.

The first one is the stage of irritability and fatigue. It can often be accompanied by decreased appetite, sometimes it could be increased one.

The next stage is the stage of eye sensitivity when people get irritated by light and different sounds.

In the third stage people begin to find it hard to concentrate. This stage occurs in the first 24 hours.

And the last stage is the severe headache which could be described as throbbing pain in the temples.

There are a couple of reasons for migraines. It could be the result of bad secretion of blood, or some disturbance in a person’s metabolism. It could be also a genetic condition.

Unfortunately, there is no specific cure for migraines but there are medicines which can ease off the pain and the symptoms. It is best to consult a doctor if you have these symptoms.

#4 Cluster headache

The next headache is called Cluster because it feels like a clustered, pulsating pain on one side of the head, either the left or the right one. The pain is often around the eyes, even behind them, and occurs while sleeping.

Unfortunately, the causes of this headache have not been found yet. The symptoms just appear and disappear spontaneously.

#5 Hangover headache

Well, the very name of this headache shows what causes it – a lot of alcohol the previous day/night. It is not only the alcohol that is to blame, but also dehydration. Alcohol drinking leads to dehydration.

The symptoms are heaviness and dull or throbbing pain in the head. The ways to get rid of it are to drink plenty of water, to have some really good sleep, and to have some painkillers. Eventually, it will disappear.
