#1 Learn how to stop hiccups
Hiccups are not only embarrassing, they are really, really annoying. Imagine that you have to give a presentation, but you have got hiccups, what will you do? There are a couple of things you could try.
First, you may take a deep breath and hold it as long as possible. Sometimes this will not help, but do not worry. You need to simply stick your tongue out and hold it with 2 or 4 fingers. This will lessen the diaphragm spasms and you will stop hiccupping. It usually stops hiccups pretty quickly, just remember to clean your hands before holding your tongue with them.
#2 Clean stuffy nose
All of us have probably had stuffy nose at least once during the winter. It is really unpleasant and annoying and it is needless to say that one would want to clean their nose quickly. Here is what you can do if this happens to you. Put your index and middle finger between your eyebrows and press this part of your face.
Then push your tongue against your palate. Hold this position for a few seconds, or as much as you can. You will then immediately notice that the pressure in your nose is lessened and that you have cleaned it.
#3 Stop your tears
It is not uncommon for a lot of women to cry when they watch a dramatic movie, when they become a witness to some kind of violence, or when their boss yells at them for doing something wrong. This is because women are fragile and gentle creatures and they could be easily moved. However, if you do not want to cry in public, you could simply learn how to stop your tears from falling. Here are a couple of techniques you could try.
First, you need to look up and hold your breath. Remember that you should never look down when trying not to cry, because this way you will encourage your tears to fall even more quickly. When you are holding your breath and you slowly exhale, you will actually lessen the urge to cry.
There is another thing you could do when trying to stop crying. You need simply to press the bridge of your nose with your fingers. Hold it for some time as firmly as possible. This way you will stop the flow of tears and you will not start crying. These tricks could be very useful at desperate times.
#4 Force a sneeze
Sometimes you are feeling that you want to sneeze, but you simply cannot do it. And this is really annoying. There is actually a way that you can force yourself to sneeze in times like these. What you should do is to look into a bright light, like the sun or some lamp. And simply focus on actually sneezing. This way you will best be able to sneeze and to get rid of this annoying pressure.
#5 Stop your stomach from rumbling
We all know that when we are hungry our stomach begins to rumble. This is really annoying, especially when you are in class, or at work, or with friends. It is even embarrassing. What you can do in these situations is to eat something, of course. It does not matter if you have just a couple of bites. This will ease your stomach sounds.
The next really important thing is not to chew bubble gums, especially when you have not eaten anything. Chewing gums really work against you because they trick your body into believing you are going to feed it, but in fact, nothing is coming in your stomach. And this way your stomach begins rumbling.
Another thing you can do is tell yourself when you are going to eat. You simply need to tell your mind that you are going to give your tummy something to eat in an hour, or less. This way to should be able to tame your stomach and to silent it.
