Every couple has some kind of problems. As much as one may thing that everything is flawless in some peoples’ relationships, this is never the case. And this is absolutely normal, otherwise we would simply not be humans. But still, if you want to have a healthy and strong relationship with your partner, you need to learn which things you should avoid in your relationship and which ones to completely stop doing. #1 Focus on the negatives

There is just no way that you could have a happy and strong relationship if you keep focusing on the negatives. The only effect of this would be you feeling terrible about your relationship and even thinking of breaking up with your partner.

You could be frustrated and annoyed and you will keep focusing on the minor and insignificant things in your relationship, like whose turn it was to do the dishes. Remember that neither you, nor your partner can go this way for much longer. You need to think of the consequences of these actions.

#2 You do not invest in yourself

One of the important rules when being in a relationship is not thinking only about yourself, but about your relationship as a whole. However, this does not mean that you should forget about the person who you are as an individual. In fact, researches have shown that having some interests outside one’s relationship, can really make it stronger.

So, it is time to think about yourself as well. Start attending some course or find a new hobby. The important thing is that you need to do it on your own, without your partner. Find the time to be alone and think of yourself as an individual. You will see that this change would really help your relationship and both you and your partner would feel better if you spend some time apart every now and then.

There are a lot of people who say that jealousy ruins relationships. Sometimes, however, it is just inevitable not to be jealous. This is actually a sign that you love the person you are with. The important thing you need to remember is that you should not be too jealous. Women know that men cannot help themselves but check out some sexy lady on the street. It is just normal for men to do it. It is like it is in their nature.

So, do not find every little thing for a sign that your partner is cheating on you. In fact, if you give your partner some freedom and you are not obsessed with the idea of being cheated on, this scenario is less likely to happen to you. So, relax, take a deep breath and let your partner have his share of breath. After all, men do not like feeling too pressed and want their freedom.

#4 Bringing up old fights

Every couple fights and this is absolutely normal. Spending a lot of time with the same person and living together shows that the couple would not always have the same opinion about domestic matters or family matters. The important thing when you fight is that you do not bring up old fights. Forget about phrases like: “You remember what happened last time!” or “You should listen to me now, the way you should have the last time”, and many others.

Bringing up old problems again to the surface will never help you find a solution to the current problem. In fact, it could make matters worse. At some point your partner could simply get tired of all of these naggings and give up your relationship. So, be careful about this.

#5 You do not admit you are wrong

If you want to have healthy relationships with people in general, and not only with your partner, you need to know when to apologize and to admit that you are wrong. Of course, this is not an easy thing to do since people hate being wrong and this affects their self-esteem. However, when a partner does a mistake and is wrong, they simply need to admit it both to their partner and themselves because this is one of the best ways to stay in a healthy relationship.

#6 Sharing information about every fight in social media

Social media is part of our lives and a big part as a matter of fact. However, this does not mean that people have to share every little detail about their family or relationship problems. For example, if you keep breaking up with your partner and after that getting back together, you should not let social media know about it. Changing your relationship status from “in a relationship” to “single” would not make a good impression to the people around you. So, make sure you do not do it and keep at least some of your personal life a secret.
