People usually start worrying about sweating in the warmer months of the year. This is, of course, because of the high temperatures in the summer due to which people tend to sweat more. However, this does not mean people do not sweat in the winter as well.

Imagine this, a person wearing a thick jacket enters a warm building. They do not have the chance to take their jacket off immediately and they begin sweating because they get too warm.

This is a simple situation that may happen to a lot of us. So, one needs to consider this as well. Do not forget that despite it is not summer you may need to be careful not to let your sweat have an unpleasant odor.

Today we are going to share with you some information about applying deodorant the right way. You may think there is not a particular way to apply deodorant, but there actually is. And the results are noticeable, or should I say sensible.

#1 Apply deodorant in the evening

The first rule which concerns applying deodorants is that one should never apply it in the morning. People are used to applying it before they leave the house in the morning because this way they are supposed to smell better and be fresher all day long. However, this is not exactly the case. You need to apply deodorant in the evening before going to bed because this way you will not allow the sweat to “touch” your skin and you will stay free from bad smell.

Another reason why it is best to apply deodorant in the evening is that the deodorant will absorb into your skin and the next morning when you put on your clean new top or dress, it will not leave white stains on it. We all know that there are deodorants that are said not to leave stains, but in most of the cases they still do. This is just another way to protect your clothes from it.

#2 Choose a good deodorant

We all know that some beauty products can be expensive but it is also important to use a deodorant with good quality if you want to stay sweat free. Choosing deodorants that have a 24-hour protection will help you even better with this task and you would not have to reapply it throughout the day. Test the deodorants you buy first and if you have any doubt that it does not do its job properly, then change it.

#3 Do not apply deodorant immediately after taking a shower

It sounds normal to a lot of people to apply deodorant after taking a shower. They think that this way they will smell better for a longer time but in fact the reality is different. And the reason for this is that if you apply deodorant on wet skin the deodorant will not stick on it. And basically it will not work. That is why you need to make sure your skin is absolutely dry when you apply deodorant. Otherwise bad BO can show up again.

#4 Wash away the old deodorant

And since we mentioned there are deodorants which last a long time, it is normal to have some of your old deodorant application on your armpits when you take a shower the next time. And here comes the important part, you need to wash it away completely. Of course, you need to keep your skin clean and do not be afraid to rub away the old deodorant. This is mainly because there are bacteria trapped there and if you do not wash this spot thoroughly, this may be the reason for having bad BO again.
