Smoky eyes don’t always have to hail from the dark side, using black as the only base colour. You can also create a lighter looking, yet equally sexy smoky look in a few simple steps. Keep the pace with changing world and give yourself a different look everyday with different variations in smoky eye makeup. Your unique eye makeup speaks volumes about your style and when done right, it has the power to be immensely transformative. You don’t have to be a makeup pro or a beauty guru to achieve big, bold and gorgeous eyes.

Step 1: It is annoying when you achieve the perfect smoky eye only for it to smudge onto your upper lid. To help prevent this, use an eye makeup primer first, as this can keep your eye makeup from transferring. Then, place a Scotch tape following the end of the brow to act as guidance for this makeup look. Then, use flat eyeshadow brush to apply a shimmery whitish-gold powder over your eyelid for a sheer wash of colour that gives off a gold cast.

Step 2: Take brown eye pencil and apply the colour from the inner corner of the lid to the outer, following the crease line.

Step 3: Smudge the brown pencil with a blending brush in circular motions.

Step 4: Apply dark grey eyeshadow to the outer corner of the lid, carefully blending the colour towards the inner corner.

Step 5: Apply shimmery shadow to the inner corner of the lid. Make sure you intensify the colour.

Step 6: Line your eyes. Give yourself a sexy cat eye to complete the look.

Step 7: If you want extra glamour, apply glitter eyeliner above the regular black eyeliner. The final result – a sexy smoky eye that will instantly transform your look from day to night!
