I know that you are a perfect hostess, but sometimes it’s not up to you that a long distance relatives come into town on short notice (an hour) and you want to be as perfect as always, but the time won’t allow you such presentation. I suggest you not to panic, grab a paper and a pen and write down the ingredients for this super fast Lasagna, run to the store to buy them and come back to see the instructions. I assure you that you will need only 30 minutes (including that shopping time). So, let’s follow the steps and you will see that the food will cook itself. Your job is to serve it and to amaze your guests. And remind them to give you some more time the next visit.

The shopping list:

One onion, diced chopped. Or you can save even more time if you buy a package of frozen, diced onions. You can pour them in the pan directly from the bag.

Buy one package of your favorite turkey sausage crumbles.

One package of regular lasagna.

A can of tomato sauce.

A can of diced tomatoes.

Mozzarella cheese.

Ground beef.

Mozzarella pearls.

Prep time:

Mix the beef and the onion in a pan over medium-high heat, until brown. After that add the half of the sausage crumbles. Let them cook a little bit.

After that add the garlic. 2-3 cloves, minced. Stir the whole mixture for a minute.

Keep adding the ingredients – the other half of the sausage and the lasagna pieces.

Add the diced tomatoes and the tomato sauce.

Stir the whole thing as much as you can merge the ingredients and pour 2 cups of water, sprinkle the whole thing with salt and pepper. Try to stir again.

Cover the pan and let the whole masterpiece simmer over medium heat. Shake the pan occasionally. 15 minutes would be enough.

Remove from stove, pour the shredded cheese and stir. Top with mozzarella pieces and put the pan in the oven for 3-4 minutes.

Top it with fresh basil and grated parmesan cheese and serve to your guests. Open a bottle of red wine and enjoy the evening with your folks!
