Whether you’re in a wedding, going to a garden party or you just want to celebrate spring and summer, a half-up look is a beautiful way to make the most of the season’s fresh blossoms. In fact, half-up half-down hairstyle is a great way to adapt to the hot summer months ahead. It looks so feminine, effortless, yet adds something special to your overall look. The half-up look is currently a hit, once you get the hang of it, it’s easy to do, and makes quite the statement.

Step 1: Start with your hair down. Brush it nicely to remove any knots or tangles. Add a small amount of your favorite leave-in conditioner on the ends and lengths of the hair. Tie the crown section off into a low ponytail.

Step 2: Grab about an inch of your hair above your ear, bring it back and secure it into a pony using clear elastic.

Step 3: Take another small section near the first one, bring it back and tie it off.

Step 4: Continue adding new sections from the side and bring them towards the back.

Step 5: Use clear rubber bands for securing the hair pieces.

Step 6: Stop adding small ponytails when you reach the crown pony.

Step 7: Following the same technique, do the same on the other side. Bring the two sections together and secure them with the crown pony. If needed, slide as many bobby pins as you think will hold your braids in place without falling apart.

Step 8: Now, gently pull the small sections apart for a fuller look by grabbing the edges of the ponytails and carefully rearranging them for a messier effect.

Step 9: Add a quick blast of your favourite hairspray and you are ready to go out and show your cute half-up hairstyle to the world!
