Dark Chocolate Kiwi Popsicles

Kiwis are great. I love them. Many people, though, don’t like them. And I know why – it is because they can be bitter. But once you add some chocolate to them, they become delicious and amazing.

For this recipe you need 6 kiwis. Lollipop sticks you can easily find at any good store for food and supplies (even Ikea has them). And a dark chocolate.

You should start by peeling the kiwis. Then slice them into round pieces that are around a half inch thick. Then stick that lollipop stick into them. Then put them on a tray lined with wax paper. Put them in the freezer. While they are there, melt the dark chocolate in a water bath.

 

Take the kiwis out of the freezer and cover them with the chocolate on each side. Then put them back in the freezer for about an hour and a half or two. Take out and enjoy them!

Mango Chia Popsicles

I love mango. And where I live I can only find it in the summer. And the chia is something that has gotten more and more popular through the years. And how could it not be – it has an amazing power of your body!

So you need three cups of mango (chop it in prior). Then you need coconut water – around 10 ounces and two tablespoons of chia seeds.

Put all of the ingredients in a blender. Blend until you have an almost totally smooth mixture. Then put the mixture into popsicle molds. Put them in the freezer and leave them there for at least 4 hours. Then enjoy!

Apricot Yogurt Popsicles

I really like the taste of apricots and yogurt together. It is very fresh and light for you. And in summer it is perfect. This mix sometimes tends to be too sour for some people, but believe me in this recipe it will be perfect. It won’t be too much or nothing special, but the other way around. And this is because it will refresh you, no matter how hot it is outside.

You will need five or six apricots for this recipe. Then you need yogurt – the plain kind. And some maple syrup. It will give sweetness to the popsicles and they will be in heaven during the summer.

You need to remove the pits from the apricots and then cut them into small pieces. You need to grab your blender, put all of the apricots in it and puree them. The puree should be totally smooth! Then add 17 ounces of the plain yogurt. And then add some maple syrup. Add a little bit more quantity of it. It will be better that way. Blend them  together a little bit more. Then put the mixture into popsicle and freeze them for a few hours. You will then have 10 to 15 amazingly delicious popsicles.

Spicy Watermelon Popsicle

Watermelon is also one of those summer fruits people really do enjoy. It is one of the best ways to stay hydrated in summer and also to have eaten something without feeling like you have just eaten the world. It is something that is enough and it is delicious and it is refreshing. And that is what we need. And since watermelons tend to be sweeter we can just add some spiciness to it. This will give a switch up to the taste you are used to. And it will be good I promise.

You need around a half of a medium sized watermelon. Then you need two tomatoes (smaller ones). And here comes the spicy part – jalapeno peppers. You need around three of them. I know it sound scary, but it is not, LOL.

Start by peeling the watermelon and removing the seeds. Then slice it into cubes. Out of that you must get around 5 cups of watermelon. Then wash and chop the tomatoes. Also slice the peppers, but into tiny pieces. Then add the watermelon in the blender. Blend it. Add the tomatoes and blend until the mixture is totally smooth. Add the peppers.

For this recipe you need to let the mixture stay in the fridge for a couple of hours. Then put them into molds and freeze them overnight. Enjoy!

Blueberry Pineapple Popsicle

The blueberries are another amazing fruit to work with in the summer. It is better then, because in winter we always get them frozen. And that is not the healthiest, not the most delicious version. Here we will add a pineapple. Something that we usually don’t think of combining.

You will need a pineapple. Peel it and cut it into cubes. You should have around 4 tea cups of pineapples. Then you need a cup of fresh blueberries. Wash them carefully. And then you need a fourth of a cup of fresh lemon juice.

You need to blend the pineapple, the blueberries and the fresh juice. The mixture needs to be very smooth and well blended. You should also put in the mixture a pinch of salt. It will complement the taste of the popsicle. After you are done with that divide the mixture into popsicle molds. Freeze for several hours. Then enjoy, but be careful blueberries can color your mouth and clothes.
