The season which we have been waiting for so long (actually since it was winter) is finally here. Millions of people all over the world have already started planning their summer vacations and cannot wait to go to the beach. However, summer does not bring only happiness.
In fact, with the heat there comes the sweating. And sometimes when one begins sweating so much that it shows through their clothes, they actually start dreaming of cooler days. So, why to feel bad during this great season when you can actually deal with the problem and enjoy the summer?

#1 Shower more often
Personal hygiene is the first step towards reducing sweating. If you have problems with sweating, one of the easiest ways to deal with it is by taking showers more often. If you do not have this opportunity, because you are at the office or you have some other things to do, you could use wet wipes instead.
Rub your armpits with a wet wipe when you sense that you are beginning to sweat. This way you will clean the smell-causing bacteria from your armpits, which will not only make you feel fresher and less smelly, but you will also reduce the amount of sweat.
#2 Be careful what you eat
The food you eat could be another reason for your sweating. You have probably noticed that when you are eating foods with strong smells, your breath becomes smelly as well. According to a recent study, not only your breath gets smelly after eating certain foods, but also your sweat. If you regularly eat foods like garlic and onion which have very strong smell, will lead to you having smellier sweat as well.
On the other hand, there are the products which not only change the smell of your sweat, but also lead to excessive sweating. These are some spices, like chili peppers and cumin which heat up your body and are the reason of some more additional sweating.
There are also other foods, like alcohol, for example, which dehydrate one’s body and one not only pays visits to the loo regularly, but also begins sweating more. It is best if you stick to fruits and green and leafy vegetables, low-fat foods, white meat, and have some tomatoes, which leads to the next useful remedy.
#3 Drink some tomato juice
If you daily drink a glass of tomato juice for a week or two, you will gradually begin to sweat less. This is because tomatoes have a lot of antioxidants which makes them perfect for one’s health. Just squeeze the juice of a couple of tomatoes or mash the pulp and drink it. Do this daily and you will notice that in a week you have stopped sweating as much as before. Your health would have also improved.
If you are not a big fan of tomatoes, which I certainly doubt because they are very delicious, you could rub your armpits with the tomato pulp instead. This will also help with reducing sweating, but, of course, it would be much messier than simply drinking the tomato juice. If this remedy does not appeal to you, you could try some of the other in the list.
#4 Use lemon juice
There is another easy treatment to try if you want to get rid of excessive sweating, especially if it is smelly. As you probably know, lemon juice consists of strong acids. They will kill the smell-causing bacteria and will refresh the skin of your armpits. You will simply need a small-size lemon. Cut it into two halves and rub your underarms with it.
Do not rinse your skin and leave it to dry with the lemon juice on. It could sting a little, but it will be only in the first couple of seconds. Then in the next morning rinse your armpits and apply deodorant like usual. You will notice that you will sweat a lot less during the day and you feel your armpits fresher than usual.
#5 DIY a deodorant
If you do not like the deodorants on the market and you think that they do not help you deal with the problem you have, then you could simply do yourself a natural deodorant that will help you sweat less and it would definitely get rid of any bad smell your body odor may have. The perfect ingredient for this is baking soda.
Some people recommend massaging your armpits with some baking soda (a teaspoon is more than enough for both armpits). There is another thing you could try and this is making a paste. Mix two equal parts of baking soda and water in a container and when you have a paste, apply it on your armpits for about half an hour. When the time is up, you should simply rinse off the paste. The paste will help control excessive underarm sweat.
