Making the perfect ponytail can be the ultimate challenge for many girls out there. Not to fret! If you want to discover the secret to creating a nice low ponytail combined with braids, then keep on reading!

Step 1: Add a little leave-in conditioner on your ends and lengths of your hair. Apply the product throughout your strands and take small sections to distribute it evenly. This product will add shine and brilliance.

Step 2: Grab a small section from your left side and braid it into a traditional three-strand braid. Use a clear rubber band to secure the braid at the end.

Step 3: Repeat on the other side by making a similar sized braid.

Step 4: Combine the two braids by bringing them towards the back and securing them with a rubber band.

Step 5: Create two more French braids on each side.

Step 6: Next up, combine them with the first two braids.

Step 7: Now, gather the upper part of your hair together with the four braids into a low ponytail. Leave the bottom part of your hair loose as this will create a bigger ponytail with more volume.

Step 8: If you want to hide the elastic, grab a small piece of hair underneath your ponytail and wrap it around the rubber band. When you have covered the hair elastic, pin the end of the hair strand underneath your ponytail using a bobby pin.

Step 9: As a final touch, straighten the ponytail using your straightener. Use a fine tooth comb to section out your hair and control the direction of the straightener. Then, run the flat iron from the base of your ponytail to the ends. If you want to give your hair slight curls at the ends don’t be afraid to do this with your iron. Just be aware of your heat settings, because if the straightener is too hot it could cause your ends to kink.
