After Kylie Jenner, we are all about the nude lipsticks that make your lips totally irresistible with just a hint of colour. With the summer season in full swing, nude gradient manicures make no exceptions! They are the hit right now and you should know how to follow this trend during these hot summer months! This tutorial outlines everything you need to know on how to get the trendy nude gradient nail art in just a few simple steps. Now, grab your favourite nail polishes and let’s get started!

Before you begin reading on how to recreate this manicure, take the essentials: white nail polish, light pink polish, kitchen foil, cosmetic sponge, top coat and base coat polishes.

Step 1: Grab a base coat that is a good quality and apply it on your nails. Paint your nails a base of light pink polish. By applying even strokes, paint every nail from the cuticle edge to the tip. Base coats not only extend the life of your manicure, but also prevent dark colours from staining your nail beds. Wait a couple of minutes until the base coat dries completely. If you are impatient, fill in a bowl with cool water with some ice cubes and dunk your fingers in it for two to three minutes.

Step 2: Take the kitchen foil and cut it into tiny pieces so that they can fit your nail. Gently place them vertically onto your nail as indicated on the picture.

Step 3: Take your white polish and paint it half way between the two foils you just placed.

Step 4: Grab your cosmetic sponge. Carefully stamp the painted sponge onto your nails. Roll the sponge several times to blend the polish colours and increase the gradient effect. This way you will make the transition smoother. Repeat this step on each nail.

Step 5: Then, apply a topcoat of clear polish to all of your nails. For best results, add a topcoat onto your nails daily to protect your lovely effect from chipping and cracking.
