Christmas cookies make the holidays a bit more enjoyable and of course delicious. No need to spend hours in the kitchen in order to create magical Christmas treats. Here are some quick recipes for Christmas cookies.
What you need: 125g peeled almonds, pistachios 75g, 25 pieces of walnuts (50 halves) 175g caster sugar, 150g dark chocolate, 3-4 spoon of water.
How to prepare: Almonds and pistachio are crushed together and sugar and water are added. Stir until it becomes a uniform mixture. Optionally, you can put more sugar. The chocolate is melted in a water bath. Dip a walnut half in chocolate, remove with a spoon and leave on baking paper. On it, “stick” the other non-chocolate half. Using a syringe, fill in the “tunnels” of the non-chocolate part of walnut. Repeat for the remaining walnuts. Idea: Put the nuts in candy colored papers.
Sticks with almonds
What you need for 80 sticks is 150g melted butter, 125g brown sugar, 1 egg, 300 g flour, rind of 1 orange 60g ground almonds, 150g almonds, 1 tea spoon of baking powder, 1-2 spoon of cinnamon. How to prepare: beat butter, sugar and egg until a thick cream is achieved. Add grated peel, cinnamon and chopped almonds. And finally put the flour, that was already mixed with the baking powder. Quickly knead the dough and leave it in the fridge for an hour. Prepare the pans with baking paper and sprinkle them with sliced almonds. Remove the dough, roll it to a thickness of 1 cm. Cut it into strips (sample size – width 1-2 cm, length – 6-7sm). Transfer them into the trays and press with your fingers towards the almonds. Bake for 10-15min in a preheated oven at 200 degrees.
What you need: 300g of flour, 1 pack of baking powder, 125g melted butter, 50g of brown sugar ,100g of honey, 100g of peanut cream 30g of honey. How to prepare: of these products, without the honey, knead dough and leave it for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Then, on floured surface, roll a thin sheet of it and using shapes, cut stars of different sizes. Bake at preheated oven at 180 degrees for 12min. Remove and leave to cool. Idea: From the delicious Christmas stars can also assemble a beautiful and delicious Christmas tree. Attach cookies using honey. Decorate with icing of your choice – a melted chocolate glaze or whipped cream.
What you need: 8 pieces of mandarins, 400g of sugar, 3 cinnamon sticks, 6 pieces of star anise. How to prepare: Peel the mandarins, trying to remove the white “threads”. Put them in a saucepan and pour half a litter of water. Add sugar and spices. Keep them for 1-2min on a hot stove. Then remove from the heat, take out of the fragrant mixture and leave them to cool.
