If there is one type of breakfast that people from all over the world like, then this would surely be pancakes. It is one of the most famous breakfasts which people have together with their families when they gather together during the weekends and it matches everyone’s taste. One can have them sweet, salty or with nothing on.
Today we decided to show you some pancake recipes from around the world to match your preferences. They may be different to the way you cook them, but they could be just as delicious. So, here are the recipes we have prepared for you today.
#1 French pancakes
1 cup of flour
½ cup of milk
¾ cup of water
2 tablespoons of melted butter
First you need to get a big bowl. Pour in it the flour and gradually add the water by whisking it. Then add the melted butter and the milk. Stir the mixture a little and then add the eggs. Whisk the mixture well until it turns into watery dough. The pancake mixture will be then ready.
Get a pan and heat it well. Then pour a ladleful of the pancake mixture into the pan and spread it evenly on it. Bake it until the bottom part turns brownish.
Then get a spoonful of the hazelnut spread and apply it on half of the pancake. Then put on top of the same half some banana pieces and on top of them some strawberry ones next to them. Roll the pancake leaving the stuffing inside. Or you can close it inside in a triangular shape.
You can serve the pancakes sprinkled with powdered sugar on top. The hazelnut spread will have melted inside and this way the pancake will be even more delicious.
#2 Venezuelan Pancakes – Cachapas
2 cups of corn
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 tablespoon of salt
¼ cup of cornstarch
¼ cup of milk
First you need to get a blender and put in it the cups of corn. Sprinkle the salt and the sugar on top of the corn. Then add the cornstarch and the milk in the blender as well. Turn on the blender and blend the mixture until it becomes really smooth.
Now get a pan and heat some butter on top. Pour a big spoonful of the corn mixture in the center of the pan once it gets well-heated. When the pancake gets baked on the bottom side, flip it to bake it on the other one as well.
While you are baking the second side, sprinkle a tablespoon of mozzarella on top of it to melt. When the second side of the pancake gets baked, take it out of the pan. Do the same with the rest of the mixture. Fold the pancake in half with the melted mozzarella inside. Serve it still warm.
#3 USA Pancakes
2 cups of flour
2 cups of buttermilk
4 tablespoons of melted butter
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of baking powder
½ teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
First, you need to get a bowl. Pour in it the flour. Add the baking powder, the baking soda, the salt, and the sugar. Mix the ingredients in the bowl well. Then leave it aside for now.
Get another bowl and pour in it the buttermilk. Add the melted butter and the two eggs. And whisk the ingredients well. When this mixture is ready, you need to mix it with the flour-mixture. Whisk them well until it becomes one homogeneous mixture.
When the mixture for the pancakes is ready, get a pan and heat it with some butter or olive oil on the bottom. Get a ladleful of the mixture and pour it on the center of the pan. The mixture is thick so it will not spread on the whole surface of the pan.
Bake it until the bottom side of the pancake turns brownish. Then flip the pancake and bake the other side of it. When the other side gets baked, take the pancake off the pan.
Serve the pancakes with some maple syrup and butter on top. Enjoy!
