If you hadn’t booked yet a nice room in a picturesque place for your winter vacation, you may consider choosing one of the following ideas for your winter relaxing vacation. Put your warm gloves on and a fluffy pair of boots and rock on the snowy paths. Take a look:
Texas Hill Country, TX
A great weekend getaway is to visit the marvelous Texas Hill Country. You can book a room in the Hill Country town of Boerne, for instance. Make sure that the room is cheap, because you won’t spend much time in it, there are many outdoor activities to enjoy, rather than staying in the room. You can rent a car if you don’t have one and take a drive through the Highway 16. You can’t drive in a way that’s not safe, because of the many twists of the road. And as you crawl up and down the hills you will be able to enjoy the scenic view around the highway. If the weather is comfortable enough, you must watch the sunset from the Enchanted Rock. It is a round top and you have to hike for a half-mile up, but the experience is unforgettable.
Bled Island on the Lake Bled, Slovenia
Lake Bled is a lake in the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. When you see it, you will definitely want to visit it any time sooner. The lake has a small island in the center, where you will see several buildings, one of them is a church. It has a 171 ft tower and there is a Baroque stairway from the coast to the top. The Bled Island is a perfect destination for your upcoming wedding.
Here you can find gorgeous views of the Berkshire Hills, which are part of the Appalachian mountains – perfect for your winter vacation. You can also buy tickets for different art and cultural events like theater, gallery, music hall, antiquing and so on.
Cesky Krumlov, Czech Rebuplic
It’s a Castle city! Do you need more? All around the castle you can take a long, relaxing walk through the maze-designed alleys, which are twisted around the Cesky Krumlov castle. A great experience for your winter vacation!
How about go skiing in Jackson this year? You can stay in Jackson if you want to visit the Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. You can witness several cultural events here, too – you can visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art, go to the Grand Teton Music Festival and what it’s the most interesting in my opinion – the four arches of the city’s town square entrances: they are made out of shed elk antlers and they are huge. Make sure that your camera is ready to shoot.
Or “the Venice of the North“. Here you can find nothing but the true feel of medieval times. The city is absolutely perfect not also during the winter, but the summer is gorgeous too. Keep in mind that you will be charmed the most if you save your winter vacation for visiting Brugge.
