Looking for a unique hairstyle to rock this summer? Why don’t you try this very messy pull-through braid ponytail tutorial! There are several reasons why you’ll find this look super amazing: first, the braided ponytail is tied with several elastics you don’t have to worry about it falling down; second, it will look incredible even if your hair is dirty; and third, this hairstyle is really easy to achieve! Now, gather as many hair elastic bands as you have and let’s get started!

Step 1: Before you begin, you may wish to prepare your hair for this hairstyle tutorial. Begin by brushing though your hair nicely to eliminate any tangles. Then, apply some hydrating leave-in conditioner on the lengths and ends of your hair. A vent brush is an excellent way to distribute a styling product throughout your hair. Now, gather all your hair into a high ponytail and secure with clear rubber band.

Step 2: Create a little loop above the ponytail using your hands.

Step 3:  Now grab your hair and pull it through the loop. This will make an inside out ponytail effect.

Step 4: Pull your hair horizontally to tighten the loop.

Step 5: Tie a new hair elastic half way down your hair, creating a new loop.

Step 6: Create a little loop above the ponytail using your hands.

Step 7: Now grab your hair and pull it through the loop. This will make an inside out ponytail effect.

Step 8: Depending on your hair length, you can stop there or you can add another and repeat the same steps.

Step 9: Once you’ve created as many pull through braids as you wish, you now need to pull the loops completely apart. Holding the pony tail with one hand, pull the loops outward, until you get your desired look. Finally, gently pull on the edges of the braided ponytail to make it wide and flat.
