What to Do Daily in Order to Lose Weight

Many people want to lose weight because they want to look good but they often forget that keeping fit is not only about looking pretty. It is mostly about being healthy and strong.

If you want to lose weight in a healthy way and to have plenty of energy without feeling tired or irritated, then have a look at the things you need to do daily in order to lose weight, be healthy and happy at the same time!

#1 Wake up early and do some exercises

One of the main things you need to do on a daily basis if you want to lose weight is to wake up early and do some physical training. You can go for a run in the park, or if you prefer you can stay at home and do some exercises there, the important thing is that you keep doing some physical exercises for 30-45 minutes.

Then you can have a short break after taking a shower and get some sunlight. This part of the daily routine is mostly suitable for the summer and the late spring since they are the two seasons with most sunlight on the northern hemisphere. Sunlight is good for your bones and your mood.

#2 Have some fruit or high protein breakfast

While you are enjoying the sunlight you can also have some breakfast. You can drink some freshly squeezed orange juice, or have a couple of apples. Fruits can give you plenty of vitamins and energy which will help you go through your morning tasks without feeling tired but energized.

If you want to change your breakfast a little, then you can have some breakfast which is high in protein, like yogurt mixed with oatmeal. It is good for your digestive system and can still feel very energetic and full.

#3 Leave your car at home

If you go to work by car you can learn not to use it every day. If you work place is too far from your home, you can use the public transport up to some point and then walk. Or you can ride a bike if you live close enough to be able to do it.

This will be both good for the environment and for your figure since you will be able to continue keeping fit even if you are not doing any special exercises. The spring and summer seasons are the best time of the year to do so and to turn it into a habit of yours.

#4 Have your main meal at lunchtime

The next important thing you need to do in order to lose weight in a healthy way is to have your main meal for the day at lunchtime. It needs to include a lot of proteins, like a fresh salad with seasonal vegetables. You can also have some meat.

It is best to avoid any fired food and also make sure that you do not overeat. And basically you can have anything that your stomach desires, even some chocolate. The best time of the day to have your main meal is between 12 and 3 pm. At this time of the day your body is best prepared to have food and will digest it the fastest.

#5 Be careful with caffeine

The next thing you need to have in mind is the amount of caffeine you can take for the day. 2 cups of coffee are a reasonable amount you can have but make sure the last one is taken no longer than 3 pm.

It will give you some power after your lunch and it will be far from your bedtime thus it will not interfere with your sleeping because, as you have probably heard, having a good night sleep is both good for your health and body shape.

#6 Have dinner no longer than 6 pm

After work you can have a light dinner which can include again some fresh salad, baked vegetables, whole grains, or some grilled or roasted meat. It is best to have dinner early in order to give your stomach enough time to digest it before sleep time.

And it is also important to have something light for dinner in order not to feel bloated and too full. At this time of the day your body is getting ready for relaxation and it is not as good at digesting food as it is at lunchtime.

#7 Have an early night with no electronics an hour before going to bed

As we mentioned, healthy night sleep is very important for the human’s body. That is why you need to make sure you have early night every working day especially. You can go to bed at 10-11 pm and have at least 8 hours of good night sleep.

Apart from the early night, you also need to make sure you turn off any electronics at least an hour before sleeping. You can read a book or have a long bath instead of watching TV or using your laptop. The light from these devises irritates your eyes even if you do not realize that this is causing your irritation. This way you will sleep better and feel fresher in the morning.
