Summer is the season when a lot of people start thinking more and more about their bodies since this is the season when the weather is hot and they wear cropped clothes that reveal a lot of skin. And this is often when people decide to go on a diet and to start working out.

However, the hot weather can often be an obstacle when it comes to doing exercises outdoors and not only. Today we are going to give you some tips and advices about working out in the summer when the weather is too hot. Check them out!

#1 Stay hydrated throughout the day

One of the most important rules of working out is to stay hydrated not only when you work our but throughout the whole day as well. That is why you need to drink a glass or two of water whenever you can. Start in the morning and have a glass of lukewarm water on empty stomach.

It is important not only to drink water when you are exercising but before that as well. This way you will keep your body well hydrated and you will not end up having no energy or even worse collapsing in the middle of the work-out. The more water you drink, the more energy you will have and at the same time you will protect yourself from some symptoms, like headaches and dizziness.

#2 Choose the time of the day wisely

The next thing which is very important when you work out in the summer is the time of the day that you are going to do it. In general, 10 o’clock in the morning is one of the best parts of the day to do exercises because at this time your body has the most energy which means that you will have the stamina to keep going. However, the temperature at 10 o’clock in the summer the temperatures are very high and this will be an obstacle to one’s workout.

That is why you should avoid doing exercises at the hottest time of the day. It would be best to do your workout early in the morning or in the evening when it is cooler and the temperatures will not influence you that much.

And even if you do your workout routine at a gym and not outside, you still need to be careful because once you visit the gym the hot heat wave from the weather will strike your body.

#3 Wear suitable clothes

The next thing you need to have in mind when you do your exercises is to be dressed appropriately. You should wear loose clothes that correspond to the weather conditions. Even if you want to burn as much as fat as possible by sweating a lot, you should still not wear thick clothes because you may end up feeling terrible and even losing consciousness.

When you work out you will still sweat a lot so there is no need to push your body to the extremes. When you feel comfortable you will be able to spend more time doing exercises and stick to your workout routine. This also means that you need to wear comfortable trainers in order to protect your feet.

#4 Check the forecast

The next thing you need to do is to be always aware of the weather forecast for the day. You always need to dress appropriately for the current weather conditions. If it is going to rain, you need to put on some suitable shoes and to bring some sweatshirt with you.

If the weather is chilly when you expect it to be hot, then you will also need to put on some outerwear or another tracksuit. The clothes you are going to choose for your workout and the weather conditions go hand in hand. And that is why you always need to be prepared for them.

#5 Apply sun cream

There are a lot of people who apply sun cream on only when they are at the beach. This is a mistake, however. The strong sunlight always shines on one’s skin, especially when one is doing some kind of outdoor exercises. That is why you should never forget to apply sun cream on before you go out. You should make this a habit of yours in order to keep your skin always protected and not to skip applying it.
